A Thank You to Heini Sports
One of the coolest parts about traveling for a race like the Honolulu Marathon isn’t just race day itself. It’s everything that surrounds it. The days leading up to the race. The walks to the expo. Shakeout runs. Coffee stops. Exploring somewhere new with people who share the same love for running.
This year, our Hull Sunday Run Day squad had the chance to represent our little corner of the Ottawa Gatineau run community in a truly international setting, and we want to send a genuine thank you to Heini Sports for supporting us with team shirts for the trip.
It was pretty special to chat about HSRD with other runners thousands of kilometres from home. People asked about the club. Where Hull was. What our runs were like. It reminded me that these grassroots communities we build locally actually travel further than we think.
For us, the shirts weren’t about performance. They were about showing up together. About being part of something bigger than one race, one finish time, or one season.
Heini Sports didn’t just help us look the part. They helped us feel connected as a group during a week that meant a lot to many of us personally. That kind of support matters.
So thank you to the Heini Sports team for backing our community and helping us represent Hull Sunday Run Day with pride while chasing big goals far from home. We’re grateful, and we don’t take that kind of support lightly.
From Hull to Honolulu, and everywhere in between.
